Does MaNavi use a lot of data?

Can I use MaNavi offline?

After selecting a tourist spot, download the content first and you can use it offline.

Earphones are not required, but they can make the audio easier to hear.

Will nearby tourist spots be displayed?

When you open the app, tourist spots where MaNavi is available are shown in order of distance from your current location.

Is the guide content different for each tourist facility?

Yes. Each facility has its own dedicated guide content.

Does MaNavi collect personal information?

Do I need to turn on location services (GPS)?

Location information is used to show nearby tourist spots and POIs.

Do I need to turn on Bluetooth?

Bluetooth is required to detect when you approach a POI where a beacon is installed.

Do I need to allow app notifications?

Notification permission is required so the app can notify you when you approach a POI.

Do I need to allow camera access?

Camera access is required when using AR features.

What smartphone settings should I use for MaNavi?

Turn on Bluetooth, location services, and notifications, and allow the app to use them. For spots with AR features, also allow camera access.

What is a POI?

POI stands for Point of Interest. In the app, POIs are guide points shown on the map with pin icons.

How do I listen to a POI audio guide?

Use the app notification, or tap the POI icon and then tap the play button.

Can I find POIs on the map?

After selecting a tourist spot, your current location and POI locations are shown on the map.

What is Audio AR?

Audio AR is a feature that plays an audio guide by scanning a QR code or similar marker.

How do I listen to an Audio AR guide?

Tap the Audio AR icon on the POI explanation screen to open the camera. Point it at the AR marker, and when the guide target appears, tap the image.

Does content play automatically?

To start audio or video according to the situation, tap the play button.

What is 3D AR?

When you point the app camera at an AR marker, a 3D model is displayed.

What happens if AR features are not available?

Even on devices that cannot use AR, you can still view POI explanation content.

Can I collect travel cards?

Tap a red pin icon on the map and listen to the audio guide; the pin changes to silver. When you listen to all guides for a spot, the pin changes to gold and you receive a digital travel card. You can check it in the Badges tab.

Troubleshooting

What should I do if a QR code cannot be scanned?

Move the camera closer and scan it in a bright place.

What should I do if I cannot hear audio?

Check the volume settings on your device.

What should I do if the app does not work?

Try restarting the app, clearing the cache, or updating the app.

I cannot hear the guide spot notification sound.

If your smartphone is in silent mode or the notification volume is low, you may not hear it. Change the settings or use your device's notification display method to check notifications.
